Blogger World and New Ideas

OK, learning my way around the blogger's world is my new hobby!I found a blog I plan to follow that represents one of the dreams of my youth. Spanish---I pursued a minor in Afro-Hispanic lit in college and now rarely use Spanish. My new dream is to pick up my Spanish, learn more, and communicate in Spanish more on a social and professional basis! I am also doing some electronic scrap booking (maybe I can figure out a way to share on the blog) I have also launched efforts to organize an Obama Inauguration Party for friends and family in January.

This week I also started working a spiritual program to keep me connected, inspired and on the right track for my life. It involves giving up sugar, white flour and compulsive overeating. I am on day 3. I have had headaches and difficulty focusing....I know I will feel better and better each day as I cleanse my system.

It's Friday and I am making my way out to a standing meeting with one of my clients. I am amazed a what can be accomplished when the timing is right. For example, yesterday I was scheduled to complete a written message on another project, I danced around it all day....started this blog, cleaned out my e-mail, but could not wrap that message up. Today in 20 min. I jumped in and the message came to me. I got up early to prepare for the meeting and this message was hanging over my head --and poof! The message came out I sent it to my client and now I am off to my meetings. The kids are still in bed and thier Dad is doing the get to school routine for me.....Peace. I smile. Life is amazing.

Launching the Metropolitan Mother's Journal

I'm the mother of 2 young children who recently discovered that I had burried the dreams of my youth. The pressures of life as a mother, wife, friend, daughter and sister put me on auto-reply and my senses were dull. I wanted a different pace. I wanted to be present with every moment and not miss a thing. My life is rich and I am a rich woman surrounded by beauty, love and uncompromising support. I realized that I wanted to take a leap of faith into new dreams .....

Metropolitan Moms is one of those new dreams .....a blogger, producer and writer. This blog is my journal on learning to balance, juggle and handle the pressures of being a "grown-woman" and making new dreams come true! .
