Whew..Waw (What A Week!)

The life of a metropolitan mom never stops. The pick-up and drop-off spots keep moving, the schedule rotates, and 1/2 day summer camps provide brief, but well deserved mental breaks. And chaperoning preschoolers on field trips to the natural history museum forces us to think creatively to answer questions like, "Are those real antelopes in there? How did they get there? And can I pet it?" As a metropolitan mom, I've discovered I am energetic, resourceful, innovative and....t-i-r-e-d most of the time. I am also in awe of the gifts I get from knowing my children and being a part of a family team.

So what I'm pooped. Today I am loving it!

I haven't been to yoga in 2 weeks and the serenity I get from that practice is waning....I'm headed for that space tomorrow after I handle the regular business of juggling a full day. What I am learning for sure is that my sanity, serenity, contentment and joy comes from what I do to quiet myself and connect to "I am that I am."

So grateful....
